This page explains how to request deletion of your Ligue account and associated personal data when you use the Ligue mobile app, websites, and services (collectively, the "Service"), including ligue.app, portal.ligue.app, and related domains and applications.
This page is provided by LIGUE INC ("Ligue," "we," "us," or "our"). Our address is 2125 Biscayne Blvd, Ste 303, Miami, FL 33137. You can reach us at Support@ligue.app. For more information about how we collect, use, and protect information, see our Privacy Policy.
1. How to Delete Your Account in the Ligue App
You can request account deletion directly in the Ligue mobile app. This is the fastest way to delete your account and associated personal data.
Steps:
- Open the Ligue app and sign in to your account.
- Go to Profile.
- Tap Privacy & Security.
- Scroll to Delete Account.
- Review the information shown, then tap Delete account and confirm your request.
After you confirm, your account is scheduled for permanent deletion. You will receive a confirmation email at the address associated with your account.
1.1 30-Day Grace Period
When you request deletion, we apply a 30-day grace period before your account and personal data are permanently removed. During this period, your account is scheduled for deletion but is not yet permanently erased.
To cancel deletion: sign in to the Ligue app again within 30 days. Signing in during the grace period cancels the scheduled deletion and restores access to your account. After the 30-day grace period ends, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
1.2 What Happens When You Delete Your Account
When deletion is completed after the grace period, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with your account across Ligue's systems, including:
- Account and profile information (such as name, email address, phone number, date of birth, and role);
- Profile and avatar images stored by Ligue;
- Organization membership and roster-related personal data tied to your user account;
- Guardian relationships linked to your account;
- User addresses and sport/position preferences;
- Notifications and communications data associated with your account;
- Other user-owned records stored in Ligue services.
Some information may be retained in limited form where required or permitted by law, including:
- Payment and transaction records that must be kept for accounting, tax, fraud prevention, or legal compliance. Where retained, payment records are anonymized so they are no longer linked to your identity.
- Information required to resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, or comply with legal obligations.
- Backup copies for a limited period before they are deleted or overwritten in the ordinary course of our backup retention cycle.
Payment card numbers are processed by Stripe, Inc. and are not stored by Ligue. Stripe may retain information according to its own policies and legal requirements. If your information is also managed by a sports organization using Ligue ("Organization"), that Organization may retain certain program or roster information under its own policies. Where appropriate, we may direct you to contact the Organization.
2. Special Cases
2.1 Minor Accounts
Users under 18 cannot independently complete account deletion. A parent or legal guardian must delete a minor's account on the minor's behalf. If you are a guardian deleting your own account and you are the only guardian for one or more minor athlete accounts in an organization, the app may ask you to resolve guardian relationships first or may schedule dependent minor accounts for deletion under the same 30-day grace period, depending on your situation.
2.2 Organization Owners
If you are the sole owner of an organization on Ligue, you may need to transfer ownership or close the organization before you can delete your personal account.
2.3 Sole Guardian Relationships
If you are the only guardian for a minor athlete, you may need to assign another guardian or resolve the guardian relationship before your account can be deleted.
3. Request Account Deletion by Email
If you cannot access the app, you may request account deletion by emailing us at Support@ligue.app. Please include:
- The email address associated with your Ligue account;
- Your full name;
- A clear statement that you want to delete your account and associated personal data.
We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law.
4. Delete Some Data Without Deleting Your Account
You do not have to delete your entire account to exercise certain privacy rights. Depending on your situation, you may:
- Update or correct profile information in the app;
- Adjust certain privacy settings in Profile → Privacy & Security;
- Contact us at Support@ligue.app to request deletion or correction of specific personal information without closing your account.
If your information is managed by an Organization, we may direct your request to that Organization where appropriate.
5. Data Deletion Timelines
- Request submitted — your account is scheduled for deletion and you receive a confirmation email.
- Grace period (30 days) — you may cancel deletion by signing in again.
- After grace period — personal data associated with your account is permanently deleted or anonymized across Ligue systems, subject to the retention exceptions described above.
- Backups — residual copies in backups are removed on our normal backup rotation schedule.
